7 Weeks Old

Hannah is 7 weeks old today! She continues to change so much every week and is growing like a little weed. Hannah continues to wake up only once throughout the night and slept in her crib for the first time last night. Curt and I were sad that she was no longer in our room in her bassinet but we knew it was time to make the move to her nursery. She did wonderfully! The last week we have been really busy. We celebrated Valentine's Day and Hannah had an outfit for the occasion that Honey and Albo gave her. She was too cute!!

We also went to Albo's office to meet everyone he works with and had lunch with everyone while we were there. Hannah was so happy while we were there and I got some cute pics of her right before we left.

That same night, Mom and I took Hannah for her first dinner at Richland while Curt and my Dad attended an event about investing with my friend Allison's dad. When we got back from dinner, Hannah was so happy while we were getting her ready for her bath and bedtime.

We also made a visit to Clarksville this weekend and spent the night with Curt's parents. I didn't take any photos while we were there but we had a really nice dinner on Saturday night and then a nice visit with Mamaw, Curt's grandmother, on Sunday. Another wonderful week with our sweet girl!

Rhodes reunion, Hannah's first party and snow pics!

I know I typically update our blog weekly but things have been a bit hectic so I am just now getting the chance to post pictures from the last two weeks. Over the last two weeks, Hannah hasn't changed much as far as her sleeping and eating are concerned but she does of course continue to change in appearance. I still think she looks like her Daddy but some people say they see me so who really knows! One big occasion was Hannah getting the chance to meet some of my dear friends from college. I call them her Aunties because really they are more like family to me than friends. Erin, Rachel Hettinger, Loren, Susan and Meredith made the trip to Nashville for the weekend. Because they all arrived at different times throughout the evening on Friday and going out would be tricky on scheduling, I made a dinner for everyone at our house (it was my first gluten free meal-my friend Rachel has celiac disease and as a result cannot eat anything that contains gluten). Saturday was a fun day and included a wonderful lunch at Urban Flats with the Rhodes girls, Curt, Hannah, Shelley (Erin's little sister who lives in Nashville) and Brittany (Shelley's dear friend). Here are some photos from lunch. Sadly Rachel isn't in any of these because she had to make a day trip to Memphis to visit her grandmother while she was so close.

Not sure if you can tell from these photos but Auntie Erin brought Hannah her very first "trendy" article of clothing, none other than Jeggings. Who knew that my infant would be in on the jeggings craze too?? She also got her the cute little pink sweater she's wearing with her jeggings in these photos. Too cute...thank you Aunt Erin!

After lunch, Curt took Miss Hannah to Clarksville to his parent's house, where she stayed for the night. This was a first for us and I must say, I am proud of myself. I only cried a little bit! But, this did allow Curt and I the chance to go out with everyone and not have to worry about getting home to Hannah at a certain time. We had dinner at one of our favorite places, Virgao. Afterwards, we got into a private club called Citizens that is attached to Virago. Apparently, Kevin Bacon was there but we never saw him. We also went to a few other bars nearby after we left Citizens. It was so much fun to be out with my Rhodes friends because it had been way too long. I must say that I was one tired Mommy the next day....yikes!

A few more photos from our night out.
Rachel made it back from Memphis for our night out!

After the girls left, it was time to pick up Hannah and head to Uncle Brad's Super Bowl party. It was Hannah's very first party so she got all dressed up for the occasion. Here she is in a dress that belonged to me when I was about her age (these aren't the best photos but we were both tired!).

One other thing to share...snow pictures! It has snowed so much since Hannah was born! I think since she was born almost 6 weeks ago, we've had 3 or 4 good snows so Mom and I decided that this past week we had to get a picture of her in it. She was really sleepy when we took them so they aren't wonderful photos but hey, we tried!

4 Weeks Old

I can't believe it...Hannah is already 4 weeks old! Every Mom told me that time would fly and I sort of smiled and laughed politely thinking that I wouldn't feel that way. WRONG! There isn't much to report as far as changes or milestones are concerned in the last week but I have gotten some really good photos of her since I last blogged. I am happy to report that Hannah's sleeping is getting much better. She is still waking up in the middle of the night but only once really. We typically put her down between 9:30 and 10:30 (depending on when she is due for a feeding) and she sleeps until sometime between 2:30 or 3:30. Curt always gets up with her at this feeding so I can rest which is such a huge help! After she goes back down, she isn't waking up until sometime between 6 and 7! I typically go to bed right after her last feeding at night so I'm actually getting around 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. It makes our days so much better and I'm loving the time I spend with her instead of being so sleepy the whole time we are up during the day! Here are some photos from the last week:

These were all taken right before I gave Hannah a bath one afternoon. I will point out that she had just pooped all over herself and me. That was a first so I guess that was our big milestone for the week! She was so happy while we were waiting for the bath to draw!

My Dad's birthday is today and we celebrated last night at my parents because they are leaving today to visit friends in North Carolina for the weekend. We watched the Tigers game (sad to say we lost) and then had a nice steak dinner. It was so fun to celebrate Dad's birthday but also because there were some special friends there, Pat and Drew Gibson. Dad met Drew and Pat at Memphis State and they have been longtime friends to Mom and Dad. I have so many fond childhood memories of family trips with the Gibson's and summertime swim parties at their old house. More than friends, they are really like second parents to me so I am so blessed they got a chance to see Hannah again last night. They were at Baptist when she was born but hadn't seen her since. Drew and Pat are moving to Memphis in about 3 weeks so spending time with them last night was such a nice treat before they move away!
